Chairman`s Message An Istanbul-based enterprise founded in 1992 as a construction company, SEHIL Group rightly takes pride in having the place among Turkey`s rapidly growing firms today with its activities in several sectors like architecture, energy, construction, mining and industrial management. The key factors underpinning our success are the qualified labour, commitment to stable growth and the broad vision of our management. I firmly believe that we will enhance this success further as we are now walking to become a global player powered by our stable financial structure. Under the banner of Sehil Construction Company, we have proved to be a successful international contractor, particularly active in Turkmenistan. Up to now, thanks to the efforts of our experienced staff, we have completed 50 projects such as residential units, domiciles, hotels, office buildings, shopping malls, official and ministerial buildings, schools, parks and industrial facilities in Turkmenistan. Still with our 10 ongoing projects, we are one of the leading contractors in the country. By taking part in the construction of industrial facility projects, SEHIL Group has proved to be resourceful enough to undertake sophisticated construction works. Systematic Litter Storage Facility and Solid Waste Compost Facility to be completed by March 2009 and the Water Treatment Plant due for completion by the October 2009 are examples of that sort. However, as far as industrial facility projects are concerned, the jewel in the crown has been our participation in a joint venture to build the first Iron and Steel Plant of the country for the government of Turkmenistan with a capacity of 160.000 tons per year. We are planning to commission the plant in the year 2009, and to run the plant on behalf of the Turkmenistan government in the aftermath. In addition, having an active participation in restructuring Avaza Tourism Recreation Area by the Caspian Sea coast since the earliest design works, our company has undertaken key roles in reconstruction, environmental pollution and treatment projects vital for the region. Thanks to all these works, we have acquired very important know-how and vision in eco-friendly projects highly required for the welfare of our planet against the current threats on global ecology. To mention briefly about our other activities beyond building contractor business, our affiliate "SehilArt" is an architectural design and consultancy firm activities with international prize-winning architects who have put their signatures under satellite settlement projects with total area of 12 million square meters. SehilArt was also awarded Habitat Project Reward in the year 2000. Given Turkey`s aspirations to become an energy hub within the next decade, having set up SEHIL Mining Energy Ind. and Trade Co. Inc. in 2008, we have launched our mining foot seeking opportunities both in Turkey and abroad. We have already commenced works to extract for gold and nickel on 1600 and 1650 hectares areas respectively in Manisa and Yozgat provinces of Turkey. Our strategic goal is to make our Group an active global player, creating a high and sustainable value for our business partners without compromising our commitment to customer focused service. The corporate and professional management structure, the "SEHIL" brand that has become a symbol of confidence, and the high standard well established ethical values will enlighten our path as we move forward with firm steps towards our new goals.
